There is a known limitation where touches or swipe gestures aren’t supported depending on the “Perform Touch Gestures” settings of the iPhone. When the “Perform Touch Gestures” setting is turned “ON”, pressing buttons work as expected, however, swipe gestures on the head unit screen are not possible. When the “Perform Touch Gestures” setting is turned “OFF”, swipe gestures are supported, however, pressing buttons requires a slightly longer press than normal.
If the Home screen icons start to jiggle you can prevent entering arrange mode on iOS while using WebLink Cast if you avoid swiping the app icons. Instead, swipe on a blank space of the home screen or on the bottom portion where the dots are located.
We suggest, adjusting this setting to “ON” or “OFF” and see which setting works best for you. To adjust the “Perform Touch Gestures” setting on your iPhone, go to Settings, Accessibility, Touch, Assistive Touch, Perform Touch Gestures.
In addition, go to Settings, Accessibility, Touch, Assistive Touch and verify the following:
- Assistive Touch is On
- Dwell Control is Off
